Wine in Detroit is on the rise! More shops, more bars, more bottles-but even with all this momentum, wine can still feel like a members-only club you didn't get the code to. The history of the industry hasn't always welcomed everyone, and the language around wine can still feel more like a barrier than an invitation.

For this reason, we bring you Hospitality Included Wine Club (HIWC), a monthly gathering rooted in connection, culture, and community.
Each month we'll pair one of the most influential and highly esteemed wine professionals in the city with one of Detroit's most impactful and creative tastemakers-someone who moves culture, not just talks about it.
Together, they'll curate a wine list that is accessible, intentional, and always paired with approachable, feel-good food. This isn't about scores, jargon, or swirling for show-this is taking the fluff out of wine and replacing it with real flavor and organic connections.
